How can I place an ad?

By clicking on Submit new ad on the left side you can submit your ad. In the page that gets loaded you will need to select the right category for your ad. You can do so by clicking the black triangle. After you have selected the appropriate category you can click SUBMIT to go to the next page where all the details can be filled in.
All the fields that are mandatory should be filled in. In case you forget a mandatory field or fill in inappropriate things you will see so after submitting the ad. When that is the case you can correct your ad.

Make sure that your email address is correct. In case it is not, you will not be able to confirm your ad. Your ad will only be shown when it is confirmed. The details on how to confirm an ad can be found in the mail which is received after the ad is submitted.

Do I need to pay for my ad?

No, advertising here is for free.

What are the conditions for advertising here?

We would like to provide our advertisers and visitors with an environment where everybody can browse thru the ads. Because of that some items are banned from this site. The following is not allowed:
ads which are illegal, erotic, pornographic, obscene, insulting or discriminating in any way. Also ads about making fast money, ads that are misleading and ads about illegal or stolen goods are not allowed. In case a third party picture or description is used, the advertiser has to make sure the owner of the copyright has given permission to use it. Further it is not allowed to make any referral to another website! Especially not links to competing websites. SGPAds.com reserves the right to remove ads which do not meet these criteria. Duplicate ads will be deleted as well.

Why is my ad removed?

In case an ad is not in line with the rules and/or thoughts of this site it is removed by the administrator.

Why can’t I place new ads no more?

In case too much ads of a certain advertiser have been removed or an ad placed by an advertiser was reason for the admin to revoke your ability of placing an ad. In case you feel like this was done by error, or don’t agree you can contact the administrator on the address below.

How can I add a picture to my ad?

There are 2 ways to do so. The easiest way is by opening the link in the mail that was sent after confirmation of your ad. You will be lead to a page where you can select the picture you would like to upload.

Another way is to click on Add picture on the right side. That will open a page where the id and code can be filled in. These can be found in the confirmation mail that was send after the ad was submitted. When they are correctly filled in you are passed on to another page where you can select the picture to be uploaded.

A picture can be maximal 150 kb and can only be in jpeg or gif format.

How can I alter my ad?

Click on Update ad.

Fill in the id and code from the confirmation mail you received when you submitted the ad. When they are filled in the field of your ad which you can update are opened and can be changed. When you are done click on Submit your update. Your ad has been updated and a mail with the update will be sent to you to update you on the change.

How can I remove my ad?

Click on remove ad. Fill in the id and code from the confirmation mail you received when you submitted the ad.

How can I get my code?

De code can be found in the confirmation email that was send to you. In case you didn’t receive or the mail or lost it, it can be resend by clicking Lost Code on the left side.

Why is the code so long and difficult?

This has been done to prevent others from updating your ad and thus keeping this site save to use.

I have entered a wrong email address, how can I manage my ad without the code?

You can not do so, but you can inform the administrator of your mistake and he can correct it for you. Of course you will need to supply some info like the email address you entered and what item you were trying to sell.

My email address has changed, how can I update my ads?

At the moment you can not. You can remove the ad and submit a new ad. In case you would prefer to have your ads updated, please inform the administrator so he can help you out.

I have received a confirmation mail of an ad I did not submit, what should I do?

This is easy, you don’t have to do anything. Especially don’t confirm the ad. In case you did confirm already, you can use the details in the mail to remove the ad.

Somebody has used my telephone number with his ad without my permission. What should I do?

You can send a mail to the administrator. Mention at least the date mentioned in the ad and your telephone number. The administrator will take action against the advertiser.

Somebody has submitted an ad with my phone number. It looks like an ad I have submitted somewhere else. How come?

This is most likely because in the beginning other sites and newspaper will be searched thru for ads that would be suitable for this site. For you this can only be an advantage, since it might lead to a successful ad for you. If you still don’t want this, please let the administrator know. He will then remove your ad.

I have responded to an ad, but the advertiser told me he had already sold his item?

It is of course up to advertiser to remove his ad, but in cases like this you can let the administrator know and he will take action.

I have responded to an ad but the advertiser doesn’t know anything about it?

Somebody appears to be abusing the credentials of an advertiser. If you contact the administrator and provide some ad data action will be taken.

I have responded to an ad but I receive commercial mails in return, what should I do?

Opening this take takes more time then usual. How come it is so slow?

It can be that there is a disruption in the service. The best thing to do is check back later. If the problem is then still the same, then you might contact the administrator to see if there is a problem.

How can I set this page as my start page?

Click extra in your browser, then options. Under the tab general you’ll see an option to set a default start page. You can type the main address of this site.
